Where do the wedding’s first dance class can take place ?
Each private dance class takes place at home or in a dance hall. Our teachers will assist you creating the choreography that will stun your guests on your wedding day!
In most cases, it is not necessary to rent a room for a private dance lesson. A medium sized room is more than enough (about 65ft² of empty space, depending on the style of dance chosen). Dance All Styles’ teachers will come directly to your home, depending on your availability, evenings and weekends.
Rental dance room spaces could be available at our partners dance studios in some cities with an additional fee of £35. We will come to your home where ever you are in the U.S.
For home-based classes, it is not always necessary to have a lot of space. Indeed, the more space you take for your choreography, the more difficult it will be on the D-day (taking into account the dress, the shoes…). The objective, during a wedding choreography is not to remain static, but to constantly move to give rhythm to your choreography.
How many private dance class do I need for my first dance ?
To achieve a nice and successful First dance, we advise you to take 4 classes of 1h30 or 3 classes of 2h. When starting with our 6h private lessons package, we are committing to offer you excellent and guaranteed results. The average time for a first dance within our 6 hours package is about 2mn30 – 3 minutes.
We suggest a 12hrs Gold pack to stun your guest the whole night.
From our experience, A 1 hour private dance lesson is too short, whatever your dance level is. Sessions of 1h30 minimum are more efficient. Together, we can deepen what you just learned and it will help you memorize better.
Because of the teaching method of our qualified teachers, 1h30 to 2 hours classes will allow you to quickly and easily assimilate the movements and steps learned.
The process of a private dance lessons for a wedding first dance
The teacher creates the choreography with you based on your preferences, it can be steps and movements seen on television or videos that inspired you
It is then a choreographic creation and a fully customized First dance production. The First Dance of your wedding must be unique and an authentic reflection of your couple.
All our 1st wedding dance choreographies are prepared and created in advance by the teacher to be as efficient as possible.
If you don’t have a specific theme, we will help you get ideas specially adjusted to you.
At the end of each class, the teacher will make a video with a summarizing what you have learn during the class. You will be filmed performing your First dance choreography so that you can improve. This will allow you to practice and learn the steps until the next class. We recommend at least 2 practice sessions between classes, for about 20 minutes long. These sessions between classes will help you get a natural final result.
Our advise for a successful wedding first dance
The wedding first dance is the moment of the evening when all eyes are on you. We recommend that the bride and groom plan small training sessions between each class to create the wonderful and natural look expected on your wedding day. The majority of couples perform a First dance that lasts an average of 3 minutes, for everyone to have time to take position around you and capture and film this moment while surprised by your dance. Based on your wish, we generally recommend a dance of a minimum of 2 minutes. We also perform choreographies with an average of 5 minutes for the bride and groom who wish to do so.
Your wedding choreography can be performed on a single song or a medley of songs (2, 3, 4, 5 and up to 8 songs). We advise you to change the style for each new music played indeed, it allows a diverse and energetic choreography. For example, you can start your first wedding dance with a slow or a waltz, then follow up with something more pop and groovy. This allows the guests to join the bride and groom on the dance floor and start the wedding dancing part of the evening.
